Wyoming Interstate Highways

Wyoming's Interstate Highways connect its major cities and facilitate travel between Wyoming and its neighboring states.  I-25 begins at I-90 in northern Wyoming, passes through Casper and Cheyenne, and exits the state at the Colorado border.  I-80 traverses southern Wyoming from east to west, while I-90 runs through northeastern Wyoming between Montana and South Dakota.  I-180 provides access to downtown Cheyenne from I-80.

Wyoming Scenic Routes

In the northwest corner of the state, the Yellowstone Loop passes through meadows and dense forests, as well as gorges, wetlands, and geologic marvels including more than 200 active geysers.  The loop starts in Mammoth Hot Springs, home to springs vibrantly-colored from algae and bacteria, and continues by the steam puffs of the Norris Geyser Basin, which is considered the hottest spot on earth.  The loop continues by world-famous Old Faithful, a geyser that delights visitors with its surprisingly regular eruptions.  More information about scenic roads in Wyoming is available on this America's Byways: Wyoming page.
